Who we are
ParKKing BV is the controller of your personal data in the Parkking QR app (iOS and Android) and on qr.parkking.be.
What data we process and why
Parking session
Licence plate, parking zone, start and end time, duration and amount — to register your right to park and manage the session.

Payment
You pay through our payment partner (Mollie or POM). We never receive card or bank details, only the payment status and a reference.

Email address Optional
If you ask for your parking ticket by email, we use your address only to send that ticket.

Account Optional
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and Google ID. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple ID, plus your name and email address if you choose to share them (this may be an anonymous Apple relay address). We use this data to create your account and keep your sessions.

Location Optional
Only with your permission and only on your device, to show nearby zones on the map. Your location is never sent to us or stored.

Camera
Only to scan the QR code on the parking sign. No images are stored or sent.

Reminders about your active session are scheduled locally on your device.

Remembered licence plates
Your recently used plates are kept on your device and in a secure cookie so you don't have to type them again.

When a crash or error occurs: device model, operating system, app version, IP address and error details, to keep the app stable and secure.

Who we share data with
- The city or parking operator of the zone where you park, so enforcement officers can check that you have a valid right to park.
- Processors acting on our behalf: Mollie and POM (payments), Google and Apple (sign-in), Bugsnag/SmartBear (error reporting), Mapbox or CARTO (map tiles; they receive your IP address and the map area shown), Heroku and DigitalOcean (hosting), SendGrid and SMTP2GO (sending emails).
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EU
Some processors (such as Google, Apple, Bugsnag and Heroku) are based in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data and to object to processing, and you can withdraw any consent at any time (e.g. location or camera in your device settings). Email info@parkking.be to exercise these rights. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS) and sign-in credentials are stored securely on your device.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest change.
